Shruti approached UnivAdmitHelp as a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in government relations, public policy and international investment facilitation for MBA end-to-end application support. A founding member and former Vice President at Invest India, she has helped global companies such as Uniqlo, IKEA and Apple navigate India's investment landscape. At Prudential Plc, she led government relations and regulatory strategy for India. Her achievements included building investment partnerships, shaping national initiatives and championing women's leadership. With international education from Melbourne and Sydney and extensive experience working across governments and businesses, Shruti brought an accomplished, globally oriented leadership profile.
Shruti's challenge was not demonstrating professional success, but articulating why an established leader needed an MBA at this stage of her career.
Having spent nearly a decade facilitating investments and shaping policy, she wanted to transition towards entrepreneurship and build an advisory firm connecting businesses with government and regulatory ecosystems. Her extensive achievements could easily overwhelm an application, while her seniority required a more mature narrative than a conventional MBA candidate's.
We needed to establish a convincing case for her next professional chapter, identify the leadership experiences that best reflected her values, and demonstrate how MIT Sloan's emphasis on innovation, entrepreneurship and global leadership aligned with her ambitions.
Shruti's professional journey began by examining long-term aspirations, identifying the transition from public-sector investment facilitation to entrepreneurial leadership as the central narrative.
Rather than cataloguing her numerous achievements, we selected experiences that revealed her approach to leadership. Her role in facilitating Uniqlo's entry into India became a compelling example of navigating regulatory complexity, building stakeholder trust and creating value across government and industry.
Shruti and the mentor worked extensively on her leadership and diversity essays. Her efforts to foster an inclusive workplace at Invest India provided a personal example of principled leadership, while her advocacy for women's economic participation demonstrated how she connected data, policy and social impact.
For the Sloan Fellows MBA application, her general management experience were refined, highlighting her role in establishing new verticals, leading cross-functional teams and scaling national initiatives.
Finally, her career goals were developed, school-specific essays and application narrative around the skills she sought to acquire in strategy, AI, innovation and entrepreneurship. The objective was to show not only what Shruti had accomplished, but why MIT Sloan was the right next step.
Shruti secured admission to the MIT Sloan Fellows MBA, Class of 2027.
Her final application presented a coherent story of a leader who had spent years enabling businesses to grow in India and was now preparing to build an enterprise of her own.
It balanced large-scale professional achievements with personal values, including empathy, inclusivity and a commitment to women's empowerment.
Rather than positioning the MBA as another qualification, her application established it as a purposeful transition towards entrepreneurial leadership, backed by extensive experience in international business, government relations and institution-building.
